Our Commitment to Equal Access

Timely advice can change the trajectory of a young life. We believe exceptional educational planning and university admissions guidance should not belong solely to those with the financial means to afford it.

Through our pro bono initiative, iPerform Education reserves dedicated mentorship capacity each year to support driven, high-potential students who demonstrate genuine need.

What the Initiative Covers

We tailor our pro bono engagements to address each student's most pressing educational milestones:

Admissions Strategy: School selection, timeline management, and application oversight.
Essays & Documentation: Editorial review and storytelling guidance for personal statements and CVs.
Academic Direction: Course selection, provincial graduation requirements, and prerequisites.
System Navigation: Helping students and parents understand the Canadian educational landscape.
Executive Mentorship: Targeted pairings with collegiate or professional mentors, when aligned.
External Resource Discovery: Identifying public scholarships, community grants, and no-cost enrichment programs.

Specific support scopes are determined individually based on student needs and available mentorship capacity.

Who Should Apply

We prioritize motivated learners who would benefit most from dedicated guidance:

Burnaby Public School Students: Currently enrolled in a Burnaby (SD41) public elementary or secondary school and facing financial, transitional, or informational barriers.
Motivated & Resilient: Showing a strong appetite to learn, positive character, and personal drive.
Action-Oriented: Ready to engage actively in mentorship sessions and complete recommended action items.
Open to Direct & Referred Applicants: Students and families may apply directly; referrals from educators, settlement workers, and non-profit staff are warmly welcomed.

How Applications Are Evaluated

With limited cohorts per term, each submission is reviewed individually based on:

Drive & Commitment: Genuine motivation to learn, grow, and pursue higher goals.
Level of Need: Clear financial, transitional, or resource limitations.
Meaningful Impact: The measurable difference our guidance can provide at this point in their journey.
Programmatic Fit: Alignment between the student's requirements and our advisory team's expertise.

While we cannot accept every applicant, we actively direct families toward relevant public and community alternatives when our program is not the right fit.

Application Checklist & Next Steps

Direct applications from students/families and nominations from educators/counsellors are submitted through our portal. Please have the following prepared:

Student Details: Name, current grade, and Burnaby public school.
Academic Ambitions: Post-secondary interests and long-term educational objectives.
Support Focus: Priority areas for mentorship (e.g., admissions, essays, curriculum planning).
Personal Summary: A concise narrative outlining background, personal drive, and need for support.
Parent/Guardian Information: Contact information for any applicant under 18.

Referral submissions by teachers or community workers should include the referrer’s title and organization.
